Andrew Swart

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Swart co-founded Sandpiper Networks, the first company to develop and operate a Content Delivery Network (CDN), and received numerous patents and industry awards for these pioneering efforts.  He has served as Vice President of Engineering at Digital Island, Cable & Wireless, and Savvis Communications, all subsequent owners of Sandpiper Networks' CDN business.  Most recently, he served as Vice President, Emerging Opportunities and Strategy at Level 3 Communications.

Prior to Sandpiper, Mr. Swart led the OEM Services division at Interactive/SHL Systems, where he was responsible for delivering customized UNIX operating systems worldwide to computer providers such as IBM, Sun Microsystems, Hitachi, and Fujitsu.

Mr. Swart has over 25 years of experience in the high tech industry, and graduated from the University of Texas in 1984.  An entrepreneur at heart, he is also active in the Angel investment community, participating in private companies as an investor and advisor.  Mr. Swart sits on several corporate and advisory boards, and is a member of the Tech Coast Angels.

David Anderson

Vice President of Business Development Operations

David Anderson has served previously as the Founder and CEO of Silicon Valley Networks, and was on the founding teams of 3 multi-billion dollar public companies (Mercury Interactive, Pure-Atria and Valid Logic) where he ran the sales and marketing teams. Most recently, David was Sr. VP of WW Sales and Business Development, and President of Japan, at Ixia. David is a board member and founder of MyWay Interactive and serves as a board advisor to multiple private companies. David received a BSEE/CS from UC Berkeley and completed the Executive Business Program at Stanford University School of Business.

Bill Culman

Vice President of Operations

Bill Culman brings over 20 years of technical management experience to QuorumLabs and has extensive experience building both software and hardware products. Before joining QuorumLabs, Bill held senior engineering management positions at Axcient, Interwoven, Cast Iron Systems, Vitria Technology,  BEA Systems and Tandem Computers. At Axcient, Bill created the engineering team that brought Axcient’s Data Protection service to the market.  While at Interwoven, Bill was the VP of Engineering responsible for global engineering services. At Cast Iron Systems, Bill managed the engineering organization from its inception and launched Cast Iron’s enterprise application integration (EAI) appliance.

Marc Goroff

Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Marc H. Goroff has over 20 years of experience in technology and academia. Prior to cofounding QuorumLabs (Quorum Technology Inc.), Marc was the head of Software Development at Sandpiper Networks where he led the team that created the internet's first Content Delivery Network. Through mergers and acquisitions, Marc continued to lead software development at Digital Island, Exodus, and Cable & Wireless.

Prior to Sandpiper, Marc cofounded several successful software startups. His diverse experience has ranged from developing embedded code for real time micro controllers to operating system development on the world's fastest supercomputers to products for distributed computing. Marc earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the California Institute of Technology where he was also a Research Fellow before moving into industry.

Cliff Hannel

Vice President of Product Management and Marketing

Cliff Hannel has been an executive, board member, advisor and investor in over a dozen hardware and software startups spanning network security, data storage and management, performance testing and robotics.  Previously, Cliff served as Vice President of Engineering and then Vice President of Acquisitions and Strategy at Ixia (NSDQ:XXIA), where he took Ixia through an IPO and helped grow the company to more than 800 employees and $160M in revenues.  Cliff is experienced in Product Development, Product Management, M&A and Strategic Partnerships and has 13 patents granted and pending in a variety of technical fields.

Joe Viscuglia

Vice President of Sales

Joe Viscuglia is Vice President of Sales for QuorumLabs and is focused on delivering client value and business growth. Prior to QuorumLabs, Joe served as Director, Western Regional Sales, for Scalent Systems, a pioneer in Virtualization Management. From 2001-2004, Joe was Western Regional Sales Manager for Egenera, where he captured the region’s first Fortune 100 customers. From 1998-2001, Joe held several management positions at Inktomi, including Director of OEM Systems Engineering where he was a key member of the management team and helped close strategic OEM relationships with HP, IBM, Dell and others.
