Lead Development Representative (LDR)

As key members of the QuorumLabs Marketing Team, Lead Development Representatives will:

  • Qualify leads from a variety of sources (e.g., tradeshows, whitepaper downloads, webinar attendees, web visitors, etc.) via email, telephone calls and online research
  • Identify prospects within target accounts that have active log and event management projects. This task includes researching the leads (prospects) what have responded to outbound email campaigns or show interest in our solutions
  • Effectively and efficiently track all prospects in their assigned regions via Salesforce.com
  • Using a combination of emails and calls, develop and test messages with prospects to achieve highest response rates
  • Collaborate with regional account managers to maximize territory development

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ Years Sales and/or LDR experience required
  • Highly self motivated

Senior or Principal Performance Engineer

A senior or principal level engineer responsible for performance measurement and tuning of QuorumLabs’ business continuity solutions for the data center and the cloud.   
The successful candidate will have the ability to isolate performance bottlenecks and regressions, will work closely with engineering sub-system owners to correct problems and enhance overall product performance.   

The successful candidate should have experience with industry standard performance methodology, tools, and benchmarks and must be familiar with performance tuning, kernel profiling, code profiling and timing analysis, and benchmarking.  Experience with servers, networks, and storage is required.

Must have strong communication skills, experience presenting performance data, leadership skills, a good team player, and a proven ability to produce award-winning products in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement a comprehensive performance test strategy for QuorumLabs’ business continuity product including code, component and system level tests.
  • Define measures and report performance against stated performance goals.
  • Investigate, create and implement tools to enable performance measurements in a continuous integration environment.
  • Participate in and contribute to design discussions and reviews with an emphasis on highlighting the impact of designs on system performance.

Required Skills:

  • Strong storage and networking backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of and experience with technologies such as SSD, HDD, SATA, SAS, iSCSI, NAS, HA, RAID, embedded or IA processors, virtualization, networking, XEN, VMWare, Linux, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Object-oriented development skills including language skills in two or more of C++, Java, Perl.
  • Scripting in Python, Bash, TCL or other language.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience coding and scripting in a Linux environment.
  • Proven ability to understand complex software design and algorithms, and design / develop testing approaches for them.
  • Expert knowledge of test processes and methodologies including design for  test and automated test

Senior Test/QA Engineer

A senior Test/QA engineer responsible for Testing/Quality Assurance of Quorum’s business continuity solutions for the data center and the cloud.

The successful candidate will have the ability to design & document test plans and test cases, automate, execute and publish results for existing and new feature set. The candidate
will work closely with engineering sub-system owners to correct problems and enhance overall product quality.

The successful candidate should have experience with software QA methodology, tools, and must have excellent debugging skills in both Windows and Linux environments. Kernel profiling, code profiling and timing analysis experience are desirable.
Experience with one or more of file systems, servers, networks, and storage is required.

Must have strong communication skills, experience presenting results, leadership skills, a good team player, and a proven ability to produce award-winning products in a fast paced environment.

  • Define and implement comprehensive strategies for Quorum’s business continuity solutions including code, component and system level tests.
  • Define and create test documents against stated project and/or release goals.
  • Define, create & execute manual and automated tests as needed for the entire product line.

  • 4+ years with system, functional and regression testing for storage and networking related technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience testing web applications and appliance portals including presentation, middle and backend layers.
  • 2+ years with enterprise applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Application servers.
  • Creating and implementing performance strategies, creating performance and profiling plans and presenting performance data and recommendations for improving code and system performance.
  • Automation of functional, regression and performance tests and operation in a continuous Integration environment.

Required Skills:

Senior Customer Support Engineer - (SCSE)

We are looking for an outstanding individual who is not afraid to pick up the ball and run with it.  This position requires Windows and/or Linux skills with person who has a strong desire to learn anything they don't know and keep learning.  This individual will be a master of all trades who will draw on the breadth and depth of their background in this position.  A MUST is good customer service skills, bonded with exemplary troubleshooting and the ability to think on your feet.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to diagnose and reproduce complex technical issues, involving hardware and software (Windows/Linux)
  • Good telephone and language skills combined with "unrufflable" patience.
  • Good written communication skills.  Must be able to clearly communicate via email. Ability to write knowledge base articles.
  • Good Windows server administration skills.  Good working knowledge of Windows applications/subsystems Exchange, SQL, AD, VSS and the Registry.  
  • Good Linux server administration skills.  General knowledge of Linux CLI and how to perform common tasks.  Comfortable with common unix utilities like sed,  grep, SSH and TAR.
  • Understand basic concepts of virtualization. (preferable XenServer Farms)
  • Can build either Windows or Linux Servers and has done so in a non lab environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Working with integrated hardware/software (appliances)
  • Experience in a company involved in the storage or data protection industry.
  • Working knowledge of any hypervisor, preferably XenServer.
  • Experience using a Windows backup product like Symantec Data Vault or BackupExec.

Required Experience:

  • 5+  years experience providing technical support to end users and IT professionals.  Preferably in small company or start-up environments.
  • BS in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience.

 


Senior or Principal UI Engineer

A senior or principal level engineer responsible for providing cutting-edge UI design and implementation for QuorumLab’s system management interface including the entire web-facing componentry of the solution. Working with human factors and graphics elements consultants for design, storyboard, and core elements, the candidate will be responsible for the management software user experience including implementation and unit/component level testing.

Software Development Engineer

Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering and working closely with the CTO, this person will develop software for the onQ system of appliances and hybrid cloud services.  You will join a skilled and motivated engineering team, who pride themselves on their ability to create highly dependable systems that are easy to use with minimal training.  Because our systems integrate a wide range of technologies, we particularly value eclectic knowledge, curiosity and drive, and the ability to synthesize different elements creatively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development of software in Linux and Windows environments for managing system backup and recovery.

Required qualifications:

  • Smart, productive, self-starter able to work in a small team environment.
  • Five or more years experience in C++/C systems/server development on Linux and/or Windows.
  • Good understanding of multithreaded programming and network programming.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience developing backup/deduplication software.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies like Xen or VMWare.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Windows boot process and the Windows registry.
  • Experience programming with Volume Shadow Copy Service APIs, NTFS change logs, and Windows data backup APIs.
  • Experience with WinPE.
